Frequently Asked Questions

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

While experiencing one of life’s greatest transformations, I noticed the lack of resources available to both individuals and families. This led me to become more involved with others during this transitional phase.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with clients who are interested in learning more about their mental health and the willingness to explore solutions.

What’s one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Therapy can assist individuals in the discovery of strengths, skills, and determination to restore one back into balance and understanding.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

Each individual brings forth their own experiences and values. As such, the importance of approaching treatment within the scope of these experiences highlight the unique journey ahead.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

As a therapist who has experienced personal loss and several life transitions, I believe that approaching therapy with grace can provide a much better outcome in the long run.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

Clients can expect a safe, non judgemental environment to identify and discuss their needs.
